And I went out the same door that I came in, 2023

ABOUT: This work is comprised of three large mono prints on Hosho paper, exploring ideas of physicality, traces of movement by the body. Alongside this are references to superstitions, the retelling of stories and the objects that hold our bodies and the implications of the human form that can be seen through them.

This work has been exhibited as part of the Camberwell College of Arts Postgraduate SHOW 2023 and The Bill of Health (2023) at Lethaby Gallery,

DIMENSIONS LEFT TO RIGHT: 90 X 175 CM, 90 x 150 CM, 90 X 170 CM

PROCESS: This work was made by inking up a large piece of wood onto which I laid a large sheet of paper, importantly big enough to cover the length of my body lying down. I then lay on top of the paper, creating the marks on the paper from the pressure of my body. I repeated this with each new layer of colour.

I then worked into the image using writing and drawing still in the monoprint process.
